Mid-West Pro Mod Series Set to Invade Ferris, TX this weekend

Ferris, TX - (July 8, 2019) The Summit Racing Equipment Mid-West Pro Mod Series (MWPMS) is invading Ferris, TX and Xtreme Raceway Park for the first time! And it’s under the lights.

With more than a month since our last stop on the 2019 Mid-West Pro Mod Series tour, the drivers are ready to get back at it, and this time it will be at Xtreme Raceway Park in Ferris, TX.

“Xtreme Raceway Park (XRP) has been building a name from themselves over the last two seasons as a premiere track to hold events at, and we at the Mid-West Pro Mod Series felt that it would be the perfect place to showcase our drivers”, stated series Founder Keith Haney.

The last Mid-West Pro Mod race was nothing short of amazing, with Aaron Wells taking home the win in Tulsa, and in doing so, extending his lead in the points over his nearest competitor, Justin Jones. Along with the Pro Mods, we will also see our Race Star Wheels Top Dragster, Top Sportsman, and X275 all competing for the win and to gather those valuable points in the race for the championship.

In Race Star Wheels Top Dragster, Steve McDermott Sr. took the win in Tulsa, and is just a stone’s throw away from the top spot in points. He trails Wynette Hudgins by a mere five points and leads third-place competitor Danny Nelson by a slim eight points.

Top Sportsman has been the Earl Folse and Bob Gulitti show this season. Earl’s early exit in Tulsa allowed Bob to pick up some ground on the points leader Earl, and now they are only separated by 16 points in the hunt to be the first ever Mid-West Pro Mod Series Top Sportsman World Champion.

Our X275 class is littered with heavy-hitters and it’s really anyone’s game at this point. John Heard is at the top of the heap, but there are five other drivers all within 25 points of him, including last years World Champion Kenny Hubbard, and the 2018 Sears X275 World Champion Shane Heckel. We are looking for X275 to be a brawl this weekend, as drivers like Michele Kato, JD Campbell, Rebecca Stewart, and more all vying for the win.

We know it will be hot, but the Texas folks know how to race in the heat. The plan is to not be running during the heat of the day. Qualifying and eliminations will take place in the evening and under the lights.

The Mid-West Pro Mod Series and Xtreme Raceway Park look forward to seeing everyone out at the track this weekend for an amazing show. For more information, check out the Mid-West Pro Mod Series on Facebook (www.facebook.com/midwestpromods)

About the Summit Racing Equipment Mid-West Pro Mod Series

Mid-West Pro Mod series was founded in 2017 by Pro Mod and Radial class racer Keith Haney. Keith is also the co-owner of Tulsa Raceway Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A series created for the racers by a racer to fill a void in the Midwest region when it came to pro mod and radial racing. The continued mission of the MWPMS is to put on a superior family show for the fans and racers, along with providing a great place for people to come and race. Mid-West Pro Mod Series started as three classes: Pro Mod, RvW, and X275. Due to Keith’s strong roots in Top Sportsman. MWPMS will showcase 8 events throughout the 2019 racing season. All races will be streamed live online via Bangshift.com allowing for maximum exposure for our MWPM series racers as well as Summit Racing Equipment. The recent addition of Top Sportsman and Top Dragster classes will add extra excitement to the 2019 season.
